Alacra Pulse Top 10 Most-Quoted Analysts

Despite being featured as the theme of a New York Times crossword, for the first time in recent memory Apple failed to feature in Alacra Pulse’s top ten most-quoted analysts this week.  But that didn’t stop the ubiquitous Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray holding the top spot for the third straight week, this time with comments about Google (GOOG).

UK online grocer Ocado’s much-talked-about pending IPO pushed two new analysts onto the list, Philip Dorgan of Ambrian Partners and Justin Scarborough of RBS Securities. Another newcomer, Meyer Shields of Stifel Nicolaus, made waves with a Sell rating on Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A). Other new entries were Wallace Cheung of Credit Suisse on Google, Citi’s Deborah Weinswig on Macy’s (M) and other retailers, Wedbush Morgan’s Michael Pachter on Blockbuster (BLOKA)  and Saud Masud of UBS on BP plc. (BP).

Returning analysts included Shaw Wu of Kaufman Bros on Intel (INTC), and Richard Bove of Rochdale Securities on financial reform.
